The Hatchling

A part of Wakefield's Our Year, The Hatchling was an outdoor puppeteering performance. Created and produced by Trigger.

The Hatchling took place in August, and I was one of the 20+ puppeteers who brought her to life across the city centre. We improvised with over 20 community groups and 300 participants from across the Wakefield district.

I was also trained as a kiter, and though she was unable to fly due to weather conditions (flying the world's largest puppet is no easy feat!) I was able to test fly "The Pearl" and several stunt kites.
